MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao wished Oscar De La Hoya all the best in life shortly after the Golden Boy announced his retirement from boxing Tuesday.
“I am very happy for Oscar and his family,” Pacquiao said in a statement. “I think he made the correct decision.”
Pacquiao, currently the consensus No.1 pound-for-pound boxer in the planet, turned out to be De La Hoya’s final opponent. Pacquiao thoroughly beat De La Hoya last December, handing the Golden Boy his fourth loss in his last seven outings.continue
