Based on a popular Israeli series, this HBO drama follows the workweek of psychoanalyst Paul Weston (Gabriel Byrne), which means each episode features a session with a different patient. (The series airs four episodes a week.) The third season returns with Dr. Weston helping a brand-new roster of patients, including Sunil (Irrfan Khan "Slumdog Millionaire"), a grieving widow who's miserable living in America with his son and daughter-in-law; Frances (Debra Winger), a one-time big star who's struggling with her lines in a major Broadway role; and Jesse, a gay teen who's wrestling with his identity and his relationship with his adoptive parents. As for Paul, he's seeking help from a new therapist, Adele (Amy Ryan, "The Office"), who forces him to confront his deep-rooted fears, including the possibility that he might have Parkinson's disease.
